A teenage girl was on the London Underground train when a man - a stranger to her - made sexual remarks, before deciding to sit down next to her and then sexually assault her. A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesperson said it was at this point that other passengers intervened and the attacker got off the Tube at South Wimbledon.

The worrying incident happened at about 11.15pm on Wednesday, February 19. A BTP spokesperson said: "Officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have information that could help their investigation."
